My media product is designed in a similar way to magazines such as "NME" or "Q" magazine. This means that it is designed to represent several different social groups but primarily the so-called 'Indy' social group.
The 'Indy' social group is stereotypically known for bright vibrant colours and fast paced Indy-rock and dance music. I have represented this in my media text by having the front page based on bright complimentary colours such as, black, red, white and yellow, this is also a convention of the type of text I am producing.
I have also represented the 'Indy' social group through the use of bands and artists I have placed on the front cover and within the magazine. An example of where I have done this is by placing a stereotypical 'Indy' looking person on the magazine and advertised them as "DJ AVIATOR" this conforms to the stereotypical genre of music that people in the 'Indy' social group would listen to, which is 'dance' or 'house' music.
